Plot Summary

The film follows Eleanor Morgenstein, portrayed by June Squibb, who, after the death of her close friend, moves back to New York City to live with her daughter and grandson. Struggling with grief and loneliness, Eleanor finds herself in a situation where she mistakenly becomes involved with a group of Holocaust survivors. Instead of correcting the misunderstanding, she begins to share her late friend’s life story as her own, leading to unexpected consequences and new friendships, particularly with a young journalism student named Nina.
