Officers at Seahouses Police Office are re-locating a short distance to new accommodation in the town.

From Monday 22nd June 2015, Police Officers will be based at Seahouses Community Fire Station in Main Street, sharing office facilities with the Fire Service.

The above maintains the presence of officers in the heart of the community and provides an office base for neighbourhood officers to use and work from. The new permanent base, like the old police building, has no counter service, however, police assistance can be obtained by calling 101 for non emergencies and 999 for emergencies.

We are fully aware that value for money is a priority for Police forces and we are always looking for ways to deliver the best service for the best value. This means working in buildings with reduced running costs, including sharing premises, which will help to achieve this. The savings made will enable the Police and Crime Commissioner, Vera Baird, to invest these in policing Northumbria.

We will continue to remind people that the best way to contact an officer is to call 101, or in an emergency to dial 999.
