Walking on Bamburgh beach (by pnoid00)

We offer great golf courses, located in stunning and dramatic landscapes. Our coastal courses are a delight, links challenges like Goswick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Warkworth, and Dunstanburgh Castle, nestling just yards from beautiful beaches.

There's a course to suit every level of golfer from beginner to expert and most are available to pay and play with minimal waiting even at the weekends. Green fees start at a very reasonable £15 per round.

If you fancy testing your hand at a number of courses during your stay, head to any Tourist Information Centre in the North Northumberland area and pick up a Northumberland Parsport. The ParSport allows you to try several of the best golf courses at discounted rates.

GOSWICK LINKS (Berwick upon Tweed Golf Club) Tel: 01289 387256

Championship golf course situated 3 miles from the A1 and 5 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed. A James Braid masterpiece of links construction. This is everything a golf course should be - lovingly tended by green keepers who make this one of the finest links courses you will ever play. Little pot bunkers penalise the greedy whilst the undulating greens reward the studious and the breeze demands attention. An excellently stocked pro shop and driving ground complete all golfers requirements, with the clubhouse providing quality to match the course.

BAMBURGH CASTLE GOLF CLUB

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club

A very challenging par 68 and one of the most beautiful courses in Britain. No other course offers such fine views over a 360-degree panorama – five castles may be seen from the 15th hole! With six par threes and nine hidden holes, golfers test not only their golf but also nature, with gorse and whinstone still often the victors. The clubhouses, built in 1904 when the course was laid out, offers light snacks over which to contemplate unrivalled views.

SEAHOUSES GOLF CLUB

Seahouses Golf Course

This small, but perfectly formed, course has 12 links holes and six parkland holes each with their own character – non-more than the fearsome 10 th. a par three over the liquid fairway of the old quarry. Short enough to play all day, the course and its clubhouse amply repay the time spent, even if some of it is spent gazing at the splendid views of the Farne Islands.

dunstanburgh golf course

If there is one reason for the golfer to come to Northumberland, this James Braid classic is it! Nestling in the crook of silver sanded Embleton bay, with the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle as a constant spectator this course weaves its own magic. The most welcoming clubhouse with its well-presented food plays host to an international membership.
