Curated by the North East Film Archive and Presented by their Archive Manager, Graham Relton
Step back in time to the 1920’s as filmmakers capture the quiet beauty of Lindisfrane as it welcomes barefoot pilgrims to the magical, spiritual home of the Celtic saints. From boy Scouts camping holidays in the 1930’s to a look at how enthusiastic home moviemakers captured their “Northumbrian Memories” on film in the 1950’s, this selection of vintage cinema will also feature films reflecting the working lives, local industries and traditions past and present, and go right up to the 1960’s and 70’s with some gems of regional television.
