The Seahouses Community website is run by North Sunderland and Seahouses Development Trust to benefit residents and visitors alike. Amongst community facilities in the town are the Community Resource Centre and Community Hub buildings that are owned and managed by the development trust.

With the creation of a new Northumberland Council in April 2009 Seahouses finds itself within the “Seahouses and Belford Belonging Community” encompassing the parishes of Beadnell, Ellingham, Bamburgh, North Sunderland and Belford.

Seahouses and the surrounding area remains an important centre for a number of faiths and information on local churches is included, along with the local hostel.

Other facilities include those operated by the county council, such as schools , the local health centre and libraries.
