Busy Bees Nursery

We offer full day care for children aged between 2 and 5 years old. The standard of care and education that we provide children is inspected regularly by Ofsted. The last care inspection was in July 2003 when we achieved the highest standard awarded by them.

In July 2003 we successfully took part in a quality assurance in childcare and education scheme run by the Pre-School learning Alliance and we are now accredited with them for the provision of high quality education and care in accordance with their standards. This quality assurance scheme is supported by the Northumberland early Years Childcare and Development Partnership.

Walking Bus - Free

We are registered with Northumberland Early years Childcare and Development Partnership to accept children with 3 and 4 year old funding. Working parents can also claim up to 70% of childcare costs through the Government’s Child tax Credits system.

We plan our educational programme in line with the national Curriculum, for the Foundation stage, working towards the early learning goals, defined by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, in each of the six areas of learning. Our aim is to work in partnership with parents to educate, get to know their child and their own individual needs We aim to provide a stimulating, fun and safe environment for children. We encourage the children to be confident happy and well behaved. Through structured play we will promote their development during their time with us.

All staff are qualified first aiders. All staff undertake training on a regular basis attending courses run by Pre- school learning Alliance and Northumberland early Years Development and Child Care Partnership.

Busy Bees also provides cooked nursery lunches at £1.65p per had from 11.30am to 12.30pm
